Kids, I know how excited and thrilled you are to watch a motorbike in action. The adrenaline pumping motor sport and racing has always made us eager to ride one. But, have you ever thought about the history of a motorbike. If your answer is no, then I will be glad enough to tell you its fun details.

The first motorbike was built in the year 1884 by the English man Edward Butler. Even though the motorcycles derived their shape and design from bicycles, the first one was a tricycle which looked very goofy. In the mean time, a German, Gottlieb Daimler, built another class of motorcycles which was more alike today’s motorbike. He with Karl Benz started a manufacturing company called Dailmer-Benz corporation which became the pioneer in motorbike production. Thus, Gottlieb Dailmer became the father of motorcycles. But these motorcycles had two stabilizer wheels which made them look like a child’s training bike.

In the early 1990’s a new era of motorcycling was started by the invention of De Dion-Bouton engine. As this engine got success in racing, it became very popular. More and more companies came upfront in motorcycle production and KTM, BMW and Triumph motorcycles were among them. But due to the World War 2, the motorbike industry faced real trouble and it was brought to knees.

The golden age of motorbike industry started in 1950’s . Many new companies started to look towards it as a potential multi billion industry. The British companies like Royal Enfield, Norton and the Japanese giant Honda started manufacturing a whole new breed of power motorbikes. As motor racing became popular, new companies started to innovate on two wheeler industry. BMW , Ducati, Suzuki are leading among them. Today, there are thousands of motorbike companies running successfully all over the world.

Bikes for some people just mean a mechanical device used for transportation, but for some crazy lots, it means more than a mere mode of conveyance. The bikers can do some stunts that can take their adrenaline into high orbits of thrill and anxiety. Read on to get a feel of the 10 most amazing stunts performed by bikers on their 2 wheeled mean machines.

The Wheelie : Wheelie is regarded as the simplest bike stunt which is meant to be performed by a rookie for just getting a feel of how a stunt should be done on a bike. By wheelie, we mean to ride the bike on a single rear wheel, while the front one would be lifted in the air. It is a simple stunt to perform. The wheelie has several variations attached to it, which a creative rider can innovate.

The Stoppie: The stoppie is regarded as a trifle dangerous than the wheelie. Stoppie can be performed on either the front wheel or the rear wheel, as per the choice of the rider. While executing the stoppie, the rider should make sure to save his face, because in many cases the riders have lost control of the bike while performing the stunt which in turn have led to serious injuries on their face.

The Suicide Burnout : Now, this stunt needs you to procure wholesome guts before you perform it. Burnout stunt happens when your rear wheel produces a lot of smoke due to friction on its base. In suicide burnout, you have to stand with your bike and gun it while applying the front bike while making a rotation which will produce a lot of friction and smoke, now that will look cool and will surely spellbound the onlooker.

The Jesus Christ : All Hail The Lord Almighty. The trick is really amazing and need you to be daring enough to try hands on it. You would have to learn balancing; once you have practiced the balancing, then perform the stunt. Get the momentum on bike. When you are confident that the bike is in healthy motion, then try to stand on the fuel tank. It will not only make your adrenaline go high but also of the viewer, undoubtedly.

The Superman : The stunt is really amazing and will set your pulse racing. We have seen several disasters in the wake of this stunt. The Superman requests you to accelerate your bike to madness on a ramp, hurl yourself with the bike over the ramp and fling your body. And try to get hold of the back seat, since doing the trick on handlebar would be plain vanilla.

The Frontflip : The stunt is highly dangerous. Even the thought of performing it sends chill down the spine even of the most ace bikers. The Frontflip requires you to accelerate your machine and do a summersault with it. I know it sounds outrageous, but that what Frontflip means. It was not until 2008, when a Frontflip was successfully executed.

The Kiss of Death : Now, this stunt not only requires guts, but also requires you to be insane. Yes, you heard me right, the stunt is a variation of The Superman, where you would have to be sure of one thing that the speed, height and distance should be fine tuned in advance and you would have to do a handstand on the handlebar! God Bless anyone who would try to perform this stunt.

Backflip : The stunt should be performed by the best of the best. You, as a stunt performer, must be sure that you do not perform the stunt before executing zillions of dummy runs. Caleb Wyatt executed the backflip in 2002 in Rouge Valley Motocross track (RVMX).

Watch all of these bike stunts on YouTube

There are two simple upgrades you can make to any motorcycle to really pump up the cool factor of the ride. They don’t even take much time or money to buy and apply. If you want to have the best looking bike on the block then you need to look into these two major upgrades.
The first upgrade you should look into is motorcycle HID lights. These are an upgrade for your headlights that will increase the visibility on dark roads and in poor weather conditions but also look really awesome. They have a distinct blue color to them that is very noticeable and really packs a visual punch. Just make sure that you spend the money to get real motorcycle HID lights. There are lots of fake kits out there that people try to pass off as the real motorcycle HID lights that are actually illegal because they are just blue tinted lights that are classified as emergency lights.
The next upgrade that you should look into is motorcycle fairings. These are essentially body kits for your motorcycle that upgrade the appearance and can even increase the aerodynamic quality of the motorcycle. There are some really amazing motorcycle fairings on the market that come in some seriously awesome designs.
If you take the time and apply the effort to buy your own motorcycle fairings then the cost isn’t even that much. If you buy and apply your own motorcycle HID lights you can have an upgraded bike in a single day of simple work. If you are not technically skilled enough to do that then you should not be spending all that much money to get them installed either. This is kind of an in and out procedure. It is like an outpatient surgery for your bike.

Some of them also have electric motors installed to them so that you don’t have to pain your legs driving them. For a rate and comparison of some of the coolest bikes, you can visit ecogeek.

After looking at the image, you must be wondering that for what is this monster made for. It is a NSU Kettenkrad, the smallest tracked vehicle that was produced in World War II. It was known as Rabbit, but has nothing to do with that innocent creature. The vehicle is a kind of tractor that is about 10 feet long with a room of three people. It was powered by a water-cooled Opel four cylinder lifted straight out of the Opel Olympia that could deliver 36 horsepower to drive this 2700-pound half-track through any terrain. The machine had a sophisticated mechanism that made it maneuverable. The steering was controlled using a steering brake system much like a bigger tank. The vehicle was used to tow heavy guns to the places, which were hard to reach. Only a few of these machines have survived and I am sure these are best choice for an Off Road drive experience.

It seems that increasing demand for scoters has grabbed attention of major auto makers. Scooters are now being preferred over bikes due to their exceptionally good handling that makes them handier for daily use. Honda displayed its four concept vehicles at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2007 and one of them that is Forza Smart 2-seater concept scooter caught my attention. This new concept scooter will provide you with a pleasant and safe ride experience in crowded places with its information-related functions. The scooter can be equipped with portable AVN entertainment system. The design is a real marvel that makes it standout from rest similar vehicles. A good body and seat color theme including LED headlights, LED front fog lights, welcome lighting and passenger backrest with built-in wing-type high visibility high-mount stop lamp. This perfect for two vehicle lets you communicate easily with pillion rider using its inter-communication system. Front and rear speakers fitted in the bike make your ride more fun filled as both the riders can share the music. I liked this vehicle and am sure that riding this would be a great fun. Other vehicles displayed were Stream Hyper Sport Concept Vehicle, Fit Daily Active Concept Vehicle, Stream Exclusive Concept Vehicle, a racing version of the Civic Hybrid, and customized Modulo versions of the Airwave, Stream, CR-V, and Odyssey Absolute along with a varied lineup of genuine Honda accessories ranging from navigation to audio systems.its insurance is not as expensive as Car Insurance.

This year the event again witnessed death of 2 riders Elmer Symons and Eric Aubijoux and a spectator. The event was equally exciting like previous events held. This time the title was grabbed by Cyril Despres who drove 72 bhp KTM 690 Rally machine prepared by Austrian brand KTM. The Companies machines dominated the race as it filled the first four spots and 23 of the first 30 finishers. Frenchman Cyril Despres (Gauloisses KTM) who finished more than half an hour in front of the field was on neck to neck competition with 2005′s champion Marc Coma who crashed when just one timed stage remaining of the 8686 kilometre event was remaining and could not further participate in the race. Many other riders including remaining five KTM factory riders were eliminated from the race after they met some serious creashes but luckily survived any serious injuries Car Insurance. The Company also tested it new KTM Neck Brace protection system which proved to be quiet effective. This wild sporting event retained its reputation as the world’s toughest rally.
